Support the SGSU Resident & Medical Student Scholarship Fund

4 Scholarships | $2,000 Each | Supporting Military & VA Urology Residents

Help Send the Next Generation to Kimbrough

Beginning with the 2027 Kimbrough Seminar, SGSU plans to provide four resident scholarships of $2,000 each to help offset travel expenses for deserving military and VA urology residents to attend the seminar.

For more than seven decades, SGSU and the Kimbrough Urological Seminar have supported the education, professional development, and camaraderie of military and government service urologists.

Today, reductions in graduate medical education and travel funding are making it increasingly difficult for residents to participate in the Kimbrough Seminar. The SGSU Resident Scholarship Fund helps ensure that the next generation can continue to benefit from this important educational tradition.

Education
Help residents participate in high-quality continuing education and scientific programming.

Mentorship
Connect young urologists with leaders and mentors from across the military and government service community.

Tradition
Preserve the Kimbrough Seminar and the professional relationships that have defined SGSU for generations.

Your Contribution Is Tax-Deductible

A Tradition Worth Preserving

Since its first meeting in Washington, D.C., in 1953, the Kimbrough Urological Seminar has brought together generations of military and government service urologists for education, scientific exchange, mentorship, and fellowship.

SGSU remains committed to:

  • Excellence in government service urology in support of service members, their families, and our veterans
  • Promoting ethical and meaningful research
  • Fostering camaraderie, friendship, and professional collaboration
  • Supporting the education, development, and leadership of residents and medical students

The Resident Scholarship Fund directly advances that mission.
